Poppleton & Appleby’s Summer Tee Time ‘This Girl Golfs’

Guests at a Poppleton & Appleby networking event ‘Got into Golf’ at a golf taster afternoon at Gaudet Luce Golf Club, near Droitwich.

Midlands based professionals took part in a Texas Scramble for beginners on the par 3 course as part of the ‘This Girl Can’ campaign, ‘This Girl Golfs’, with expert coaching provided by Mark Laing, PGA Professional and the Academy team at Gaudet Luce Golf Club.

Sharon Hill, Manager at Poppleton & Appleby said ‘the event was a great way for ladies to find out if golf is their thing in a relaxed and friendly environment.  It was great to catch up with some familiar faces and also to see some new guests joining our networking group.

We had glorious sunshine for golf and the club provided a sumptuous afternoon tea in their fabulous function room, where we were joined by professional women from across the Midlands and representatives from a local charity, Worcester Kinship Carers.

Following afternoon tea and networking we received a presentation from Enza and Rose from the charity which assists relatives or friends who look after children who cannot live with their parents.

Gaudet Luce donated a year’s membership on the par 3 course as one of our raffle prizes, where we raised over £100 for the charity and we would like to thank them and all of our guests for their generosity on the day.”
