Senior Manager

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Manger to join our team.
This role is responsible for a varied portfolio of solvent and insolvent corporate assignments and will deliver and monitor swift and efficient case progression with particular focus on corporate governance and insolvency compliance requirements.
The main activities in the role are:
- Manage case progression in a timely and compliant manner, overseeing case team members’ work and taking control of tasks where required.
- Manage a large portfolio of cases and be able to work on several different assignments effectively at one time.
- Demonstrate strong time cost and time management skills for both you and the staff you supervise, including the accurate and comprehensive time recording information.
- Identify and discuss with the IP any issues and obstacles as they arise, suggesting solutions to overcome and progress matters, and provide regular updates to the IP.
- Use IPS case management system for all cases, proactively addressing upcoming diary events as appropriate. In addition, a good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, Word documents is also required whilst a working knowledge of the increasing number of on-line accounting packages used by clients, such as Xero, Quickbooks etc, would be an advantage.
- Undertake financial analysis of statutory accounts, management information, short term cash flow forecasts and longer-term integrated forecast models.
- Assume responsibility for, build and maintain key stakeholder relations and liaise with clients, clients’ employees, agents, and solicitors as necessary, including site visits.
- Promote the business of Poppleton and Appleby, including attendance at client events, marketing events by hosting and attending marketing events and seminars and presentations by other professionals and clients.
What’s required for the role:
- A minimum of 10 years’ insolvency experience, together with a Strong academic track record.
- Extensive experience of Administrations, Liquidation (CVL and MVL) and CVA processes.
- Qualified ACA / ACCA and ideally CPI / JIEB.
- Engaging personality, with strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, deal with ambiguity and manage conflict / challenging situations.
- Risk tolerant, stress tolerant and comfortable working in a changing environment.
- Strong team player.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of short-term cash flow and other forecast reviews.
- Commensurate knowledge of Insolvency Act and Rules and SIPs relating to the above procedures.

- Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm with 1 hour lunch 1pm to 2pm.
